Thembisa Masjid

Thembisa Masjid Revonation Project:

Thembisa masjid was build in 1983 and was in desperate need of maintenance, Minacsa and Ashraful Ullooms took an audit of needs and desirability. With our overview and prioritizing of the entire project we divided this project into three phases.

Needs:

The first phase was to fix the unblocking sewerage underground pipelines, fixing of plumbing work of both Male and female toilets with shower facilities, tiling of walls and flooring of both toilets including painting and also to do a coat of paint Masjid interior.

Alhamdulillah with Allah SWT grace and help we have finished the first phase, the total cost of phase one was R 97 000 and it was generously covered by brother Neizam David and Ashraful Ullooms with few other donors.

The project work from start to finish was supervised and managed by brother Neizam David who is a musallee of Sandton Masjid may Allah SWT reward him abundantly , now we are moving towards second phase to fix other neglected part of the masjid, as the masjid is located on a very busy and strategic location of Thembisa and the musalees are growing every day.

Our Masjids are our symbol of pride especially in non-Muslims township, the exterior of the Masjid is in dire need of renovation as it is visible to the passerby and general public.

The second phase is to paint the exterior of the Masjid, its courtyard, an overhead covering of patios, extending vegetable garden and especially the painting of Minaret which is visible from distance and paint is really withered and looking bad.

The Thembisa masjid also hosts a madrassah with 30 students with primary school and also provides accommodations for orphans and the dormitory is very humble at the moment and need help.

We are humbly requesting to a generous-hearted community to assist us in this noble project, as it the immediate obligatory duty of all Northern suburban Muslims community and Masjids to assist our neighborhood Masjid as it can play a pivotal role in dawah work in a hugely populated area of Thembisa and ivory park, maybe our rich and affluent northern suburbs don't have direct dawah propagation audience and full-time staff, but Thembisa Masjid do have staff and audience so let's help them to do this noble task.

Desirabilities:
The phase three there is also need of solar power electricity installation to make masjid self-sustainable and also feeding scheme if not daily then weekly or monthly, all Northern suburban masjid can share this sawab.
